Who says you can't photograph a burger in flat lay? Typically this is one meal that's presented straight on; how else can you capture those mouthwatering ingredients? But I wanted an overhead shot to catch those fries and that bowl of horseradish (try it with chips - it's an awesome combo, I promise!) So I've been inventive and turned my star attraction on its side. A hand in frame does a great job too in adding interest. Notice the way I have used LINES in this photo. My arm and the vertical line from the board bring the viewer's attention straight to that halloumi burger. Love to hear from you if I can help tell your food story, or you want to learn more about taking better photos of your food product.
